Trade Ideas first week checklist (do this in order)

If you do these steps in order, Trade Ideas becomes useful fast. If you skip around, you’ll overfit, build noise, and conclude “it doesn’t work.”

This checklist is designed to prevent the two common failure modes: - overfitting (too many filters/alerts) - interference (taking profits early / cancelling trades / forcing trades)

Day 1: Define your lane (defaults that avoid chaos)

Non-negotiables: - liquidity + dollar volume - RVOL baseline - avoid low-float cheap stocks - practical price floor: nothing under $15

Pages: - Liquidity filters - Relative volume - Time of day filter

Day 2: Build a Top List + shortlist

Tutorial: - Top List Window

Day 3: Build one alert window

Tutorials: - Alert Window workflow - Alert window tips

Day 4: Add symbol lists (quality control)

Tutorial: - Symbol lists

Day 5: Review + tighten (remove noise)

Guide: - Alert hygiene

Day 6–7: Paper / tiny size + journaling

If you’re struggling and have a small account, do not buy speed. Buy discipline.

Guide: - Paper trading checklist
